PARTICIPATION

More must be done for the participation of Muslim migrants.

From the glossary of the Information and Documentation Centre for Anti-Racism Work e.V.: participation denotes the “mutual recognition of difference” and the “search for possibilities so that collectives can participate equally in societal resources despite difference.” 409

Difference is defined as a form of “being different” and is predetermined by systemic power structures (see Othering). As a prerequisite for participation, it is required that “actions, experiences, interests, subject positions, and characteristics of marginalised people are societally and institutionally appreciated”. 410

What is hidden behind well-sounding terms such as participation, recognition, or appreciation are woke goals: woke activists are to dictate in what way the interests of marginalised identities are to be appreciated, as whose alleged representatives they present themselves (see Empowerment).

Integration, equality, inclusion, diversity, openness to the world, participation, parity, equity, involvement, and representation partly overlap in their practical meaning. With these well-sounding terms, woke negotiation attempts are to be enforced.

Anyone who joins the woke activists as an ally can expect a certain acceptance even as a privileged person. Often, it is also about identifying and excluding non-woke persons. At the same time, the conditions for more privileged groups are worsened overall, as equality of outcome is ultimately to be ensured (see Quotas and Justice).411
